Fishing Rods

How to choose a spinning rod? It all starts with the lures you are going to use, rather the weight of those lures! Namely, each rod has a designated casting weight, ie the weight range with which lures this rod is intended for fishing. It is expressed in grams, for example a 2-7 g on UL rods for light fishing of trout or perch, or 15-40 g for a most common seatrout fishing rod, or up to 100 g for a jerk bait rod. Casting weight is marked on each rod, in our online store it is marked on the product name of each rod. There cannot be a versatile on for everything fishing rod, which would cover all possible lures. So you have to make some decision and make a choice about your plans. If your lures are significantly heavier than the rod’s casting weight, your rod will bend through and you will not be able to cast your lures properly. Opposite, if your lures are much lighter than the casting weight, you can definitely still fish, but you probably don't have a good sense of action either casting or retrieving back the lure, because your rod is just too heavy and stiff for your lure.

Once a decision has been made on the casting weight, the next questions arise about the length of the rod, the price of the rod, the possible special characteristics of the rod, such as the tip bent or parabolic bent bent rod, jig rod, dropshot rod, etc. See in particular the product descriptions of the rods. The length choice of rod depends primarily on your fishing style and location, how much space do you have at all? A longer rod casts farther when you have a lot of free water around, shorter makes it easier to maneuver and better accuracy when space is tight.

The price of the rod is primarily due to the components, the more expensive the rod, the higher the quality of the rod blank and the higher quality components it has - rings, reel seat, handle. The quality of the rod blank you can usually feel in the light weight and thus in the higher sensitivity and usually also in the longer casting distance.

Both the length and weight of the rod are also given in the product name of each rod in our online store.
