X-Rap CountDown

Fish the Xtreme Attitude consistently at any depth. Based on the CountDown method introduced by Rapala in the 1960s, the X-Rap CountDown brings modern X-Style finishes and details to the game. It swims with a strong rolling action and flutters down on the pause. The X-Rap CountDown sinks 30% faster than the classic CD. Due to its weight and body design, the X-Rap CountDown is also very long casting.

How to Fish:
Cast it out and count it down, that’s how your fish the CountDown method; a legendary technique invented by Rapala many years ago – now combined with an enticing flutter on the drop.
To use the CountDown method, follow these simple steps: Immediately after the X-Rap CountDown hits the water, take up any slack line and begin counting. A good uniform way to count is “one thousand one...one thousand two...one thousand three...” Keep counting until the lure has settled on the bottom or has found a resting place in the weeds. The line will go slack at this point.
Remember the count at this moment. Then, by reducing the count by one or two numbers on subsequent retrieves and picking up the lure with your reel, the X-Rap CountDown will stay just above the weeds or off the bottom.
When fishing streams with the X-Rap CountDown, cast quartering upstream to allow the lure to sink without tension on the line and start reeling when you’ve reached the desired depth.
Designed for normal and fast retrieves, the X-Rap CountDown is your best option at reaching those deeper fish. When reeling in, vary your speed to really get the lure working with an erratic action.
