The STRADIC is already a well known and highly appreciated spinning reel which is used by hundred of thousands anglers, all over the world. Already for years and years, all these anglers have the same experience about STRADIC: strong and reliable, a reel which will never let them down. The new STRADIC FL - successor of the FK - will of course carry this same identity: strong and reliable. However, there are some new exciting features on the FL: 1. Rotation Smoothness (MicroModule II, Silent Drive) 2. Durability (Increased Hagane Gear strength, X Protect) 3. Casting Performance (Long stroke spool). This proposition makes the STRADIC FL the ideal ‘all-round’ spinning reel. It can be used for any type of freshwater fishing and is very suitable for ways of fishing where reliability and strength are important (river fishing, big fish, bigger lures). At the same time this reel is an ideal choice for saltwater inshore fishing.

X-Ship is a combination of features that work together to create much greater efficiency. By positioning the pinion gear close to the centre line of the large diameter drive gear, more power is transferred from the handle to the rotor. The pinion gear is also supported by two Shimano A-RB roller bearings. This creates more stability.

The HAGANE Drive Gear is produced by Shimano’s cold forging technology, without the need for additional machining. This delivers a long lasting smoothness, strength, lightness and power at the very heart of the reel. Traditional die-cast, machined gears are less durable under heavy loads.

The HAGANE Body is produced from high rigidity aluminium or magnesium. This creates stiffness and impact resistance, whilst at the same time eliminating flexing of the body. The result is a rock-solid housing and support for the moving internal gearing and greater e ciency throughout the reel.

CoreProtect prevents water entering the body, from under the rotor at the front of the body, and also into the Roller Bearing unit.

X Aero Wrap is a worm gear oscillation system with a specially designed pitch to create optimal oscillation speeds. This provides superb uniform line lay to reduce loss of energy during the cast. X Aero Wrap is considered one of the best line lay systems in the world.

The one-piece bail wire has no gap for line to snag on during normal operation. Made of Stainless Steel, it reduces friction and allows the line to get onto the line roller quicker.

AR-C Spool is a patented spool design with an angled spool lip. This design enables the line to leave the spool with less friction and in smaller coils resulting in longer more accurate casts. AR-C spools are proven to reduce backlash and wind knots when using braid. AR-C spools are now standard on almost all Shimano reels.
