DAIWA 23 AIRITY LT – AIRDRIVE DESIGN

The 23’ Airity combines DAIWA’s newest AIRDRIVE design concept with an ultra-light LT platform, built for maximum sensitivity, low start-up inertia, and permanently smooth, quiet rotation. A magnesium MQ® Monocoque body, CNC-machined DIGIGEAR®, and friction-reduced AIRDRIVE Shaft deliver refined power transmission with long-term stability under load.

AIRDRIVE design for balance, casting and lure control

The AIRDRIVE rotor reduces weight at the front of the reel to improve overall balance with modern rods. This reduction in rotating mass lowers start-up resistance, so the rotor reacts instantly—helping you keep precise contact with your lure, feel subtle takes, and control retrieves with high accuracy.

The extra-light AIRDRIVE ABS® longcast spool features reduced wall thickness to remove unnecessary weight, supporting the same front-end balance benefits. Combined with the low-inertia rotor, you get smoother start/stop behavior during retrieve and a more stable feel during casting and lure work.

Quiet, durable power transmission with MQ® magnesium body

The distortion-proof MQ® Monocoque magnesium body allows the use of a larger gear for improved power transmission and higher lifespan under strain. The CNC cut driving wheel is specially coated to support an even softer, smoother run. The AIRDRIVE Shaft forms a low-contact structure at the pinion gear to reduce friction at the axis—resulting in a silky, almost silent rotation that stays consistent over time.

Braided-line control and saltwater-ready sealing

Twist Buster® III is optimized for braided lines by reducing compression at the line roller during retrieve, helping to minimize line twist. For demanding environments—especially saltwater use—Magsealed protection at the axis and line roller helps reduce the influence of corrosion and dirt particles for more consistent performance.

AIRDRIVE BAIL for reliable line management

The hollow AIRDRIVE BAIL is engineered to reduce weight without sacrificing strength, supporting reliable, long-term line lay and dependable operation season after season.
