This following tip comes from professional fishing guides to all Räsänen fans: try an irregular retrieve. Start the retrieve calmly and after a short while, stop. Then continue the retrieve slightly faster and stop the lure again after five or six turns of the handle. After the stoppage, return to the slow retrieve. The irregularly zigzagging spoon entices the pike and surprisingly often the fish strikes immediately as the retrieve is stopped.
