Shimano Nexave FJ Spinning Reel
The Shimano Nexave FJ is a versatile spinning reel combining smooth performance, reliable construction, and excellent value. Designed for freshwater spinning, inshore saltwater fishing, and coarse or feeder fishing, it offers dependable operation across a wide range of fishing techniques. Featuring Shimano technologies such as SilentDrive, G-Free Body, AR-C Spool, and Anti-Twist Fin, the Nexave FJ delivers impressive performance in an accessible, affordable package.
Smooth Performance and Reliable Construction
The Shimano Nexave FJ is engineered to provide smooth, consistent performance during casting, retrieving, and fighting fish. Its precision gearing and SilentDrive technology reduce unnecessary mechanical play, noise, and vibration, creating a refined winding experience that is particularly beneficial when retrieving artificial lures or fishing with delicate presentations.
The lightweight, robust construction incorporates Shimano's G-Free Body design, which positions the reel's centre of gravity closer to the rod. This improves overall balance and reduces wrist fatigue during extended fishing sessions. Combined with a reliable drag system and three shielded stainless steel ball bearings plus one roller bearing, the Nexave FJ offers controlled, dependable operation for anglers seeking Shimano quality at an attractive price.
Longer Casting and Improved Line Management
The aluminium AR-C Spool features a specially designed spool lip that allows fishing line to leave the spool with reduced friction, supporting longer and more accurate casts. This is particularly useful when targeting distant feeding areas or covering large stretches of water with artificial lures.
Shimano's Anti-Twist Fin improves line management by controlling loose line near the line roller, helping reduce slack-line problems and unwanted loops, especially when fishing with thin braided lines. Together, these features make the Nexave FJ an excellent choice for perch and predator fishing, coastal spinning, and coarse or feeder applications.
