Shimano Sustain Spinning Rod Series
The Shimano Sustain is a premium spinning lure rod series developed for dedicated predator anglers who demand versatility, precision, and dependable performance. Designed for both freshwater and inshore saltwater lure fishing, the range covers everything from finesse techniques to long-distance casting and heavy-duty Power Game applications. Lightweight, responsive, and exceptionally well balanced, Sustain combines advanced Shimano carbon technologies with premium components to deliver outstanding casting accuracy, lure control, and fish-playing power.
Designed for Modern Predator Fishing
Sustain offers a comprehensive selection of rod models to suit a wide variety of lure fishing techniques. Fast-action models provide outstanding sensitivity and precise lure control when fishing with soft plastics and twitchbaits, allowing anglers to detect subtle bites while presenting lures naturally. Distance models are engineered for maximum casting range and accuracy with plugs, spoons, and hard lures, making them ideal for covering large areas of water and reaching distant feeding fish.
The Power Game models complete the range by delivering the strength and control required for larger predators using oversized lures and metal jigs. Every rod features a practical two-piece construction, making transport and storage easy without compromising blank performance.
Advanced Shimano Blank Technology
Built on High Modulus Full Carbon blanks reinforced with Shimano Spiral X Carbon technology, Sustain rods offer exceptional strength while remaining remarkably lightweight and sensitive. Spiral X construction significantly reduces blank twist during casting and under load, improving casting precision, increasing power transfer, and maintaining excellent control throughout the fight. Premium Fuji K-Type Alconite guides ensure smooth line flow and long-lasting durability, even when using thin braided lines. A Shimano Custom Ci4+ reel seat provides a lightweight and rigid connection between rod and reel, while the ergonomic split EVA handle offers excellent grip, comfort, and balance during extended fishing sessions.
