Shimano Cardiff 301A LH

The Cardiff is the essence of what a small multiplier should be. Strong, responsive and easy to use, It is built with a die-cast aluminium frame and a machined aluminium spool for strength. The reel's responsiveness lies in Super Stopper anti-reverse as well as a high 5.8:1 gear ratio on 201 and 301 versions, which is perfectly suited to fishing lures requiring a high-speed retrieve and instant hook sets. Complete casting control is achieved thanks to Shimano's Variable Brake System (VBS).

The HAGANE Body is produced from high rigidity aluminium or magnesium. This creates stiffness and impact resistance, whilst at the same time eliminating flexing of the body. The result is a rock-solid housing and support for the moving internal gearing and greater e ciency throughout the reel.

Shimano Anti-Rust Bearings (ARB) are specially treated stainless steel bearings to drastically increase the metal strength
and corrosion resistance of the bearing. These bearings will last at least 10 times longer than standard stainless steel ball bearings
in high salinity environments. Although these bearings are not shielded like the Shimano Shielded A-RB bearings this does not automatically
implicate that these bearings are more fragile or vulnerable. Sometimes the actual positioning of a A-RB bearing in a Shimano reel can already
rule out the chance of contamination by any sand, salt or dust and thus making the need for additional shielded protection unnecessary.

Level Wind System ensures perfect distribution of line across the spool.

Super Stopper is a one-way roller bearing that eliminates backplay for solid hooksets.
